We’re going crazy for florals! Something about Easter coming around the corner is getting us thinking about entertaining again. Here’s how to make your tablescapes the ultimate conversation starters this season. With the right canvas, you can easily throw in a beautiful bloom and be done in a snap!
Tablescapes Should Be Bright
Spring holidays tend to invoke color palettes in soft pastels. We love to keep things on the brighter side of the spectrum because it keeps thing more upbeat. Colors have an impact on moods and bright tablescapes provide lively atmospheres. Guest should feel uplifted and cheery! Put on an upbeat soundtrack and provide drinks on entry.
Tea Parties for Moms-to-Be
If you’re hosting a baby shower, cocktails are obviously a no-go. Instead of the traditional mocktail party, try a Southern-style Iced Tea party instead! Use bright florals for your Southern tablescapes and remember bigger is always better! There are a million different types of tasty herbal teas available via Teavana. Pick a few special varieties and serve them with a light brunch. This type of brunch is another good use for those Mason jars we know you have on hand (here they are via Amazon Prime, if you dont!).
Tropical Glam Bridal Showers
Not feeling all flowery like we are? Choose table settings in earthy peach tones and add a few palm frawns instead. Now that it’s Spring, natural accents with a straw weave work great with botanicals. We found some great gold flatware sets from West Elm that dress up an otherwise casual table. (Be sure to sign up for their newsletter first so you can score an additional 15% off.) This type of table setting operates on the “less is more” mindset, so be sure to pay close attention to details!
Balloon Bouquets
Another alternative to the flower bouquet is the balloon bouquet. Using balloons as your centerpiece gives you more bang for your buck (pun intended)! We have been loving all of the cute crafty girls out there who are using multiple sizes of balloons in those peach and pink tones. They can cascade across the table with some greenery and instantly say party! This type of bouquet is impossible to mess up. Just be sure to use a few different sizes to create some dimension in your centerpiece.
Best Florals on the Market
If you’re willing to make a little investment in a tablecloth or even just some pretty napkins, our favorite brand right now is Bonnie and Neil. Your table settings will be the talk of the town with their beautiful watercolor style prints. We love their bold use of color and timeless prints. Turn your special occasion up a notch and remember to take advantage of every opportunity to treat yourself in the process! Being hostess has it’s perks, you know 😉
Do It Right!
Once you get the date set in place, there is a lot of work to be done to make sure your event is a success! Use a planner and don’t be afraid to invest a little in decor! It’s always fun to treat your family and best friends, since they are the ones who support you through thick and thin. Now is the time to show a little appreciation and be generous with your time and talents. A little bit does go a long way, so don’t max yourself out. Table settings can be somewhat effortless with just a little forward thinking. We hope these ideas spark a little of your creativity and if you have any other helpful hints, leave us a comment!
