Not-So-Sleepy Satin
We are totally fine with girls still rocking the pajama look. Bed head and satin bedclothes will always be sexy. Mix a silk blouse with this season’s sleeve details and loose pajama pants. Warm, cheerful colors, like poppy, salmon, or lavender are this season’s biggest hits. Always try silky items on and do a gut (and butt) check. If you aren’t loving what you see, try the next size up or pass for something more flattering.
Wrap Around
Another trick to wearing silky fabrics is to double it up. Wrap skirts and dresses look gorgeous in satin, since it can bunch up in the right places. You can also play around with the “drape factor”. Adjust a tie belt or wrap skirt so the fabric drapes perfectly across your middle. Emphasize your waist with a tucked in blouse in a more casual fabric to keep the look casual.

We love the result of a pajama-style jacket paired with a striped top and a bandana or neck scarf. That’s three-for-three! Pretty much appropriate for any occasion we might find ourselves at in the next few months.

Add a little sex-appeal to your standard skirt or dress with animal prints. Satin skirts dotted with leopard or cheetah prints are popping up all over street style stars. Additionally, layering with an oversized sweater or a classic trench coat works to cover any bumps or bulges. Mix prints with solids for a classic win and always feel free to add your favorite pair of tennis shoes to the mix. Who knew cheetah print could be so casual?

Work tops go from day to night in 7 seconds flat with the adjustment of a few buttons. As we stated above, blouses in silk and satin should fit comfortably with a little room to grow in. Make sure your sleeves have at least a 2-3 inch space below your armpits. Your chest should not pull the fabric tight across it. Easy, breezy is the name of the game. Keep it classy and pay a little extra for the perfect fit.
Handsome Prints
Finally, big, bold prints and patterns can really blossom on a maxi dress or skirt. A satin skirt with an eye-catching print looks lovely paired with black or tan sandals.
